The old Golden Globe statue was posing a challenge for winners, making it difficult to hold with one hand and leading to awkward photos, thus raising questions about the award's prestige. Another issue was the increasing availability of counterfeit statues on platforms like eBay with no way to trace their authenticity, necessitating the need for a secure system to ensure authenticity.
In response, we reimagined, redesigned and reinvented the Golden Globe trophy for the digital age. Our team created an ergonomic statue that is easier to hold with one hand and features materials that represent the prestige and status of the award. We also incorporated an NFC chip into every award that, when scanned, reveals the winner, date, and category, ensuring increased security and authenticity.
